The Link System is very versatile, it can be used as a styling accessory. Application is simple and does not use glue.
Utilising tiny colour matching tubular links and unique crafted clamps. The Link is first threaded over the natural hair and extension and is then closed using the clamp, creating a lasting flat bond leaving no damage to the natural hair. This type extension will last 3 months or even longer. Suitable for sporty people or if your hair gets greasy easily.

There are so many ways to style your hair extensions. Straight, curly, wavy, tousled, up or down.

While synthetic hair extensions can look as good as natural human hair, they cannot be styled using curling or straightening irons without suffering irreparable damage. One of the best things about human hair extensions is that you can style them just like your normal hair.

Hair Extensions Aftercare

To maintain your hair extensions in the best possible condition, it is important that you follow the advised procedures. Shampooing and conditioning your hair at least once a week with the recommended products and advice.

WASHING YOUR EXTENSIONS

Always remove all tangles from your hair before washing, wash your hair upside down with a shower (never in bathwater) making sure you rinse until the water runs clean.
Condition away from the bonds, leave the conditioner in for about 5 mins before rinsing thoroughly, until water runs clean again.
Wash your hair at least 3 times a week. Never let your hair get greasy as this can damage the bonds.
You can use “leave in detangler spray” if your hair is long. Do not spray on bonds.
If you get a knot in your hair, hold the hair at the bond and comb through carefully.
Only use products recommended by The Hair Extension Co.
Never rub the hair with the towel to dry or leave in towel.
Never go to bed with damp hair.

DRYING YOUR EXTENSIONS

If you want to leave your hair to dry naturally, always dry off the bonds with a cool heat.
Never blow dry your hair on a hot setting with the nozzle close to the bonds as this could melt the bonds.
Dry at least 4″ away from the bonds.

GENRAL INFORMATION AND CARE

Always tie your hair back at night when you go to bed, this will avoid your hair getting tangled and keep it tidy.
If you go swimming in a pool or the sea, always put your hair into a plat, leave it in until you are ready to wash your hair when you have finished swimming, wash and condition as normal.
We recommend you run your fingers through your hair every day from the roots, to avoid your natural hair loss tangling at the bonds.
Never use hot oil treatments or shine sprays on your hair.
We recommend a monthly maintenance check, so we can make sure you are looking after your extensions, so they will last.
We sell all shampoo’s, conditioners, de-tangle spray and hair brushes.

If you do not use the products and keep to our guideline sheet we cannot guarantee other products will not damage the bonds.

Choosing An Extensionist Advice

Always ask to see proof of qualifications, always check the name and date to see how much experience the extensionist has. This is especially important if they are mobile as this makes it harder to track them down if problems do occur.

Some salons only have one qualified extensionist and sometimes allow trainees to apply hair extensions with minimal training in the correct application of hair extensions.
Salons often allow trainees to apply extensions without consulting the customer and charging the same amount as a fully qualified extensionist. Always ask to see the extensionists qualification and make sure they are qualified to apply the hair extension system they are using. If the extensionist is a trainee, ask how much experience they have and ensure there is a qualified extensionist on hand to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Always ask to see them applying extensions so you can see their work and ask to see a portfolio of some before and after pictures.
A good extensionist should discuss all the types of hair they have available and they should explain the process of application and how to look after your newly applied hair extensions.

There are many types of hair extensions available and you should check that they are using 100% human hair extensions and always ask what type.

Your extensionist should be happy to answer any questions you have relating to your extensions and if they say they are qualified they should be happy to show you a certificate of qualification. If they can’t provide you with proof, proceed with extreme caution, as badly applied extensions can cause damage to your hair and may cost more than a good set to have the damage repaired.
